The Cubs opened the offseason with a move that stunned MLB, firing manager David Ross and hiring Craig Counsell away from the Brewers for a record salary.

Since then, Chicago has been relatively quiet, with Japanese pitcher Shota Imanaga the marquee addition on a four-year deal. The Cubs could very well add key players before Opening Day, with Cody Bellinger conspicuous among the remaining free agents.

Whether he returns to Chicago or not, the Cubs remain in an eminently winnable division and know they'll begin the year with as good a chance as anyone to take the NL Central after finishing second in 2023.

The path to what would be their first postseason appearance since 2020 starts where it has for decades, in Mesa, Arizona.

Cubs spring training schedule 2024

Cactus League games began on Friday, Feb. 23, at Sloan Park against the White Sox. The spring training slate concludes with a pair of games in Mesa against the NL Central rival Cardinals, who train in Florida but will make a stopover in Arizona before they open the regular season at the Dodgers.

For baseball fans making the trek for spring training, you can score tickets for every game on StubHub. Those unable to attend in person in Arizona will have ample opportunity to watch the Cubs, as Marquee Sports Network is set to broadcast 25 spring training games. Those telecasts will also be available via Fubo for those in the Cubs region.
