Choreographer Vijay Binni turns a director with Nagarjuna starrer Naa Saami Ranga that will see Allari Naresh and Raj Tharun in key roles.
Binni says he entered the industry with a dream of becoming a director. “After watching the movie Nuvuvosthanante Nenoddantana, I understood one thing a choreographer will have a grip on all crafts. So, I chose choreography.”
Vijay had done choreography for several songs of Nagarjuna and he felt fortunate to direct him in a movie. “I narrated a different story to Nagarjuna. But he told me the story of Naa Saami Ranga and gave me the opportunity to direct it. I owned the story and made it in my style. You will see vintage Nagarjuna in the movie. I tried to present him in a different avatar.”
The promotional material suggested that the movie deals with the subject of friendship between Nagarjuna, Allari Naresh, and Raj Tharun. “Naresh is crazy about Nagarjuna. I thought it would be good to include both of them in this story. Naresh did a great job, and there should be another young actor along with him. Raj Tharun came on board for that role. There is one story each for the three friends. How are these stories connected? The situations between them are very new. The movie has an item song and many other surprises in store.”
The director thanked music director MM Keeravani for all the support and providing some super hit songs.
